IG 541 is used to extinguish fires in sensitive areas, such as: call centers, computers, vulnerable devices, machines, etc.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
IG 541 is a mixture of Nitrogen (52%), Crude (40%) and Carbon Dioxide (8%), is odorless, colorless, non-corrosive and because it is a gas that is free in the atmosphere, does not affect ozone and has zero effect on increasing atmospheric heat.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
IG 541 extinguishes the fire by reducing the oxygen level in the space below 13% (point where most materials stop burning).<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At the same time the percentage of Carbon Dioxide contained in the mixture, protects anyone trapped in the fire area from low oxygen levels.\u00a0This is because when the Carbon Dioxide contained in the blood and which controls human respiration increases, then the transport of oxygen to the brain increases accordingly.\u00a0Thus, if a person is exposed to an environment with an oxygen content of less than 21%, which is normal, then he develops hypoxia, which is a dangerous condition.\u00a0The presence of Carbon Dioxide in IG 541 dilates the arteries that supply blood to the brain, resulting in an increase of about 15% in the oxygen transported to it compared to the normal atmosphere.\u00a0IG 541 is stored in bottles with a capacity of 16, 40, 60, 67.5 and 80 liters.<\/span><\/div>\n

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
\n
Single or Multiple Cylinder systems are applied depending on the volume of the protected areas.<\/span><\/div>\n
In a Multi-Cylinder System, the “Pilot” Cylinder is used to activate the system’s cylinders.<\/span><\/div>\n
The “Pilot” Cylinder is activated automatically using the detonator which is fired from the Fire Detection-Extinguishing Panel of the System.\u00a0The Panel is commanded by a Detection System consisting of pairs of Heat Detectors and Smoke Detectors.\u00a0It is activated manually either by pushing the Shutter Piston or by Remote Manual Activation Button.<\/span><\/div>\n
The “Pilot” Cylinder Shutter is connected via the EPDM High Pressure Hose to the Shutter of the 1st cylinder of the system.\u00a0In essence, when the “Pilot” Cylinder is activated, the propellant Gas pneumatically activates the Shutters of the main Dioxide Bottles of the System (the Shutters of the main Bottles of the System are connected with EPDM High Pressure Hoses).\u00a0Once the main Cylinders of the System are activated, the Extinguishing Material is forwarded through Flexible EPDM High Pressure Pipes to the Collector of the System from where it is led to Nozzles.<\/span><\/div>\n
